And they killed
shachat (shaw-khat')
to slaughter (in sacrifice or massacre) -- kill, offer, shoot out, slay, slaughter.
the passover
pecach (peh'-sakh)
a pretermission, i.e. exemption; used only techically of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim) -- passover (offering).
and the priests
kohen (ko-hane')
literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer.
sprinkled
zaraq (zaw-rak')
to sprinkle (fluid or solid particles) -- be here and there, scatter, sprinkle, strew.
the blood from their hands
yad (yawd)
a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.),
and the Levites
Leviyiy (lay-vee-ee')
a Levite or descendant of Levi -- Leviite.
flayed
pashat (paw-shat')
to spread out (i.e. deploy in hostile array); by analogy, to strip (i.e. unclothe, plunder, flay, etc.)
