
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you that I may lay my hand upon Egypt and bring forth mine armies and my people the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by great judgments But Pharaoh Par`oh (par-o') Paroh, a general title of Egyptian kings -- Pharaoh. shall not hearken shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) unto you that I may lay nathan (naw-than') to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.) my hand yad (yawd) a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.), upon Egypt Mitsrayim (mits-rah'-yim) Mitsrajim, i.e. Upper and Lower Egypt -- Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim. and bring forth yatsa' (yaw-tsaw') to go (causatively, bring) out, in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively, direct and proxim. mine armies tsaba' (tsaw-baw') a mass of persons (or figuratively, things), especially reg. organized for war (an army); by implication, a campaign, literally or figuratively (specifically, hardship, worship) and my people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. the children ben (bane) a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of literal and figurative relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc. of Israel Yisra'el (yis-raw-ale') he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel. out of the land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. of Egypt Mitsrayim (mits-rah'-yim) Mitsrajim, i.e. Upper and Lower Egypt -- Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim. by great gadowl (gaw-dole') great (in any sense); hence, older; also insolent judgments shephet (sheh'-fet) a sentence, i.e. infliction -- judgment.
