a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of literal and figurative relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc.

qashab  (kaw-shab')
to prick up the ears, i.e. hearken -- attend, (cause to) hear(-ken), give heed, incline, mark (well), regard.
unto my wisdom
chokmah  (khok-maw')
wisdom (in a good sense) -- skilful, wisdom, wisely, wit.
and bow
natah  (naw-taw')
to stretch or spread out; by implication, to bend away (including moral deflection); used in a great variety of application (out), stretch (forth, out), take (aside), turn (aside, away), wrest, cause to yield.
thine ear
'ozen  (o'-zen)
broadness. i.e. (concrete) the ear (from its form in man) -- + advertise, audience, + displease, ear, hearing, + show.
