
Behold therefore I will bring strangers upon thee the terrible of the nations and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom and they shall defile thy brightness Behold therefore I will bring bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) strangers zuwr (zoor) to turn aside (especially for lodging); hence to be a foreigner, strange, profane; specifically (active participle) to commit adultery upon thee the terrible `ariyts (aw-reets') fearful, i.e. powerful or tyrannical -- mighty, oppressor, in great power, strong, terrible, violent. of the nations gowy (go'-ee) a foreign nation; hence, a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts -- Gentile, heathen, nation, people. and they shall draw ruwq (rook) to pour out, i.e. empty -- arm, cast out, draw (out), (make) empty, pour forth (out). their swords chereb (kheh'-reb) drought; also a cutting instrument (from its destructive effect), as a knife, sword, or other sharp implement -- axe, dagger, knife, mattock, sword, tool. against the beauty yophiy (yof-ee') beauty -- beauty. of thy wisdom chokmah (khok-maw') wisdom (in a good sense) -- skilful, wisdom, wisely, wit. and they shall defile chalal (khaw-lal') to bore, i.e. (by implication) to wound, to dissolve; figuratively, to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an opening wedge) instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound. thy brightness yiph`ah (yif-aw') splendor or (figuratively) beauty -- brightness.
