And he shall pass through the sea with affliction and shall smite the waves in the sea and all the deeps of the river shall dry up and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away
And he shall pass through
`abar  (aw-bar')
to cross over; used very widely of any transition (literal or figurative; transitive, intransitive, intensive, causative); specifically, to cover (in copulation)
the sea
yam  (yawm)
from an unused root meaning to roar -- sea (-faring man, (-shore), south, west (-ern, side, -ward).
with affliction
tsarah  (tsaw-raw')
tightness (i.e. figuratively, trouble); transitively, a female rival -- adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble.
and shall smite
nakah  (naw-kaw')
to strike (lightly or severely, literally or figuratively)
the waves
gal  (gal)
something rolled, i.e. a heap of stone or dung (plural ruins), by analogy, a spring of water (plural waves) -- billow, heap, spring, wave.
in the sea
yam  (yawm)
from an unused root meaning to roar -- sea (-faring man, (-shore), south, west (-ern, side, -ward).
and all the deeps
mtsowlah  (mets-o-law')
a deep place (of water or mud) -- bottom, deep, depth.;
of the river
y`or  (yeh-ore')
brook, flood, river, stream.
shall dry up
yabesh  (yaw-bashe')
to be ashamed, confused or disappointed; also (as failing) to dry up (as water) or wither (as herbage)
and the pride
ga'own  (gaw-ohn')
arrogancy, excellency(-lent), majesty, pomp, pride, proud, swelling.
of Assyria
'Ashshuwr  (ash-shoor')
Ashshur, the second son of Shem; also his descendants and the country occupied by them (i.e. Assyria), its region and its empire
shall be brought down
yarad  (yaw-rad')
to descend; causatively, to bring down (in all the above applications)
and the sceptre
shebet  (shay'-bet)
a scion, i.e. (literally) a stick (for punishing, writing, fighting, ruling, walking, etc.) or (figuratively) a clan -- correction, dart, rod, sceptre, staff, tribe.
of Egypt
Mitsrayim  (mits-rah'-yim)
Mitsrajim, i.e. Upper and Lower Egypt -- Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim.
shall depart away
cuwr  (soor)
to turn off (literal or figurative)
