The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD for every man that is mad and maketh himself a prophet that thou shouldest put him in prison and in the stocks
The LORD
Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw')
(the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord.
hath made
nathan (naw-than')
to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.)
thee priest
kohen (ko-hane')
literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer.
in the stead of Jehoiada
Yhowyada` (yeh-ho-yaw-daw')
Jehovah-known; Jehojada, the name of three Israelites -- Jehoiada.
the priest

him in prison

a wrench, i.e. the stocks -- prison, stocks.
and in the stocks

the pillory -- stocks.
