If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel and maketh merchandise of him or selleth him then that thief shall die and thou shalt put evil away from among you
If a man

he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel.
and maketh merchandise

apparently to heap; figuratively, to chastise (as if piling blows); specifically to gather grain -- bind sheaves, make merchandise of.
