He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet
He swalloweth
gama'  (gaw-maw')
to absorb -- swallow, drink.
the ground
'erets  (eh'-rets)
the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world.
with fierceness
ra`ash  (rah'-ash)
vibration, bounding, uproar -- commotion, confused noise, earthquake, fierceness, quaking, rattling, rushing, shaking.
and rage
rogez  (ro'-ghez)
commotion, restlessness (of a horse), crash (of thunder), disquiet, anger -- fear, noise, rage, trouble(-ing), wrath.
neither believeth
'aman  (aw-man')
to build up or support; to foster as a parent or nurse; figuratively to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe, to be permanent or quiet; morally to be true or certain
he that it is the sound

from an unused root meaning to call aloud; a voice or sound
of the trumpet
showphar  (sho-far')
a cornet (as giving a clear sound) or curved horn -- cornet, trumpet.
